The last update have showed you the first version of the desk that I wanted to create. I have made other version since that time and currently have settled on the newest version. Below is the new version that I have decided to build and am working on putting together. It looks a lot like the same but there are some changes and still I am working on making changes to the desk still so that I can make sure that its something I want and will be very happy with it.
The 2 circles are the power on and off button but I am thinking of changing the location of them but not sure if I am going to move them or keep them in that location.
This past weekend I have built the box that is the inside of the desk that will hold my computer so I no longer have a need for a computer tower. So this past weekend I was able to cut out the Items needed to make the box here are some pictures of what I did.

These tools are the best friends of a woodworker and builder. A T Square, Box cutter, Pencil, Eraser, along with a Tablesaw.
This is the table saw and tools that I used to mark and cut out the box from a 4×4 sheet of 1/2 inch plywood.
As you can see I have marked out the lines for the cut of the bottom section of my computer desk box. The bottom is 33 ½” x 22″ x ½” the whole desk is 75″ x 30″ x 32″.
Looking back at it now I wish that I had continued the cut through the plywood because it would have made the rest of the cuts little easier.
Now I have the bottom of the tray cut out completely and I am feeling good about this project. After I cut out the bottom of the box I made sure to get the sides for the box cut out which is the next two pictures. The First one you see it is that extra side that in the first cut I should have just continued to cut off with the bottom.
Finally got the cut made and was given for my time and effort two side rails for my computer desk box.
As you can see after I had the to end caps for the box I checked to make sure that it looked proper and it does looks like have a box and now all I needed was to make the sides for the box. I have some left over wood that I used to make the 2 inside box walls.
Now that I have all the needed supplies for my box I needed to make sure it lines up and this is what I did.
Now we have a box that is free standing next thing to do is cut the holes needed for the cables to pass in and out and power. Along with making sure the computer components will all fit within the box and keep cool. Next update i will go more into how things will be cooled down and the next step in the creation on the desk. Including the staining that I will be doing on it.
